梅雨明け！

　　　　　　　関東から中四国で梅雨明け＝猛暑

気象庁は19日、関東甲信と東海、近畿、中国、四国で梅雨明けしたとみられると発表いたしました。

Let's all rejoice! Kanto-Koshin area has officially declared the end of a rainy season! Time for the bugs to come out...we shall be starting to hear more cicadas sing again this summer.

七夕の由来

七夕の”たなばた”の語源は古く、古事記や日本書紀、万葉集で詠まれています。奈良時代ころに大陸から伝わった行事と、日本にすでに存在した棚機津女（たなばたつめ）伝説とが混ざり合ったとされています。
日本では旧暦の時代にお盆の関連行事として七夕が行われてきたようですが、明治の時代となって新暦を取り入れたことにより、旧暦7月15日前後であったお盆の時期が新暦8月15日前後に移ったことにより、七夕とお盆の関係が薄れたそうです。
七夕の日は全国的には7月7日ですが、七夕祭りで有名な宮城県仙台市、北海道の大部分では七夕は8月7日、愛知県安城市の七夕祭りは毎年8月第1週の金・土・日におこなわれています。

Tanabata Festival (Star Festival)

Have you heard of the romantic yet melancholic story of Hikoboshi and Orihime?

Japanese write their wishes on a small rectangular paper and decorate the bamboo tree with them. On the 7th day of July, they burn the bamboo as a way of wishing for their wishes to come true.

　沖縄は梅雨明けということですね。
　梅雨のイメージは、ジメジメとかカビとかネガティブになりがちです。
　でも梅雨の季節を待っている草木もいます🎶
　自然の中に触れたりしますと聞こえてくる気がいたします♡
　気温が気象が不安定ですので御自愛くださいませ。

Hello there. Okinawa has officially declared an end of the rainy season. We tend to associate rainy seasons with words like, "humid" "mold" "mildew"....doesn't sound too fun.
As for plants, they are feeling the total opposite way! They are screaming and shouting with happiness.

軽井沢と東京

However there are days when it's nice and sunny out. The beautiful weather summoned me to go on a short walk around the pond.
